ABOUT CLAWS UP CREW
Claws Up Crew brings Athens hockey fans together to help Rock Lobsters players feel at home and to grow the sport throughout our community.
Who we are
FOR THE PLAYERS. FOR THE FANS. FOR ATHENS.
We’re a member-run booster club built around a shared love for the Athens Rock Lobsters. We help players with practical needs away from the rink, organize hospitality and volunteer projects, and give fans meaningful ways to support the team.
We also believe a stronger hockey community benefits everyone. Through local partnerships and initiatives such as youth hockey scholarships, we work to help more people discover and participate in the game.
How we work
OUR COMMITTEES
Our committees organize the practical work of the club. Members can help with the activities that fit their interests and availability.
Post Game Meals Committee
Organizes members to prepare post-game meals for the Athens Rock Lobsters and the visiting team.
Apartment Committee
Coordinates household supplies and furniture for player apartments.
Fundraising Committee
Organizes club fundraising events and merchandise sales.
Transportation Committee
Coordinates player transportation to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
Community Outreach Committee
Organizes community outreach events that introduce more people to hockey and connect the club with the Athens area.
